Blogger even today still remains the best Blogging platform to many owing to the simplicity and ease to use. But recently, Blogger changed their design or User interface and some features can now be accessed from different options in the Blogger Dashboard.
Changing the Favicon for your Blogger blog can no longer be done from the layout section on the dashboard. And if you find it confusing, this guide is there to show you how to add a Favicon to your Blogger site/blog.

For a newbie to the Blogger platform, this is the only guide you will need to apply when changing the default Favicon to your own very custom Favicon.
Blogger
Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was developed by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The blogs are hosted by Google and generally accessed from a subdomain of blogspot.com.
Before many started using WordPress CMS, Blogger existed already and many bloggers depended solely on it. Owing to the fact that the platform hasn't undergone rapid improvements, many had to choose WordPress and other Content Management Systems over Blogger.
But of recent, some design improvements have been made to the Blogger platform to bring some cool features. although not as sophisticated and feature-rich as WordPress, the new design bring in some option which will ease content writing like link editing and image positioning.
Adding Favicon to your Blogger site with the new interface
As mentioned earlier, at first one could add a new Favicon by going to the layout section from his or her Blogger Dashboard. But this is of the past. With the new design you will have to proceed thus:
- From your Blogger or Blogspot Dashboard, go to Settings.
- Under the settings, you should see the "Favicon" option. Click on it.
- Upon clicking to change or add a new Favicon, a new window will now upon and you can upload your new icon to be used as your site's favicon.
